The brand is built around the hopes that each and every piece can bring an extra smile or laugh in everyone’s day.

DESIGNER PROFILE:

Ikue Naiman started her career as a fashion stylist for several big name publications in New York and Tokyo, when a chance meeting with jewelry creator Nishiyama Katsutoshi changed her life. She decided to go under his tutelage in 2006 and started her brand “Misha”, named after her beloved daughter, in April of 2008.

COLLECTIONS:

Treasure: Each and every piece in this collection is meant to symbolizes the treasure that is in everyone’s heart. The luxury of the jewels and the creative designs ensure that it’s a very exclusive treasure made just for you.

Story: This is one of my favorite collections, which I created from my memories of reading picture books to my daughter when she was younger. The collection is filled with nostalgic motifs and themes that I hope help transport everyone back to their childhood.

Peace: I wanted to combine classic European motifs like doves, waves, and clouds, with the simplicity and elegance that is iconic in Asian jewelry.

MESSAGE:

I started my career as a stylist in Tokyo, when I married and moved to New York. In New York I was energized by the liberated and unique people I met there.

But then one beautiful fall day something happened that froze my heart and changed the way I viewed the world. On the morning of September 11th two jumbo jets flew into the World Trade Center towers, right in front of my eyes.

I didn’t realize until then that one catastrophic event can change and destroy so much in one instant. It made me realize how important the love one has in one’s heart is, especially during the hard times.

I started Jewelry Misha a couple of years ago with the intention of creating jewelry that adds another layer of happiness in the wearer’s world.
